EcoPark Factory

ASTD's state-of-the-art plastics recycling facility — undergoing construction in EcoPark and to be in operation by the end of 2026 — will be initially processing over 7000 tonnes of local plastic waste per year, creating raw materials and recycled finished products — completing the circular economy at a high scale.

Purpose & Highlights

As the first factory in Hong Kong with a BEAM Plus Platinum rating, it will showcase advanced practices in sustainability - sorting, processing, and repurposing Hong Kong’s plastic waste in a local loop. As a key part of the Hong Kong Government's zero-landfill blueprint strategy, the factory will efficiently divert plastics away from the landfills.

By utilizing the most effective technologies and circular economy principles, the factory will truly reduce the city's environmental impact, setting a new standard for waste management in Hong Kong and beyond.
